Happy new year
and white rabbit to all of you. *sighs* I'm tired, I should be asleep soon, but I *shrugs* wanted to talk to people who weren't online, so I thought I might as well post something. I finished reading Napolean of Nottinghill this afternoon, and it had a most satisfactory ending. I was quite happy with it. I could almost accuse some people I know of being Auberon's or Wayne's, but not quite. It is interesting to know people on both ends of the spectrum. Ah well, then my family watched Serenity this evening after I lost at scrabble to my mother. Dad enjoyed it. Mom was thoroughly disgusted, and Grace was somewhat disappointed that I wouldn't mock it with her. Although I can see that it could be thoroughly mocked, and have no doubt that she would do a great job of it... unfortunately, she has declined to do a guest review of the movie. ah well. And now, it is time to sleep, and contemplate that strange and terrible wand which makes commonplace things beautiful, along with my own lack of patriotism as envisioned by G. K. Chesterton. It's rather hard to feel particularly attached to a small locale when one hasn't really lived any particular place that long. And they seldom feel like home when you go back. Goodnight before I become maudlin.
