quick update

I really should set my computer clock to the correct timezone... having it an hour slow just makes it too easy to stay up late which is what I'm doing now... anyways, I made bread yesterday, from scratch! yes, I, Sarah Joy Tucker, was up to my wrists in microbes (not that I'm ever not... but in this case it was yeast, which is a little unusual, I assume... need to check with Lydia). Yes, ladies and gentlemen and any uncouth person reading this, this is turning out to be a splendidly garbled post. Anycase, I began the breadmaking late in the evening (around 8:30), since we didn't have yeast before that and my church had communion service that evening. The communion services are probably my favorite thing about Harmony Church. I will have to write about that later. Since bread involves extended rising, resting, and more rising... I didn't finish until almost midnight. It's good bread though.
In light of these events, getting up this morning was rather hard... (I stayed up till one waiting for the bread to cool so I could bag it and doing dishes. Yes, this was a ridiculous reason to stay up, but I've had worse ones.) So I got up at 9:30 (yes, I have no right to complain) and went with my mom to help get her new fifth grade classroom ready. It was fun, exhausting, and slightly frustrating. Ok, the only frustrating thing was that we didn't seem to get very much done... mom had to go to a meeting and I was left alone with the bulletin boards and some fabric. I managed to cover three out of five... but that's about all I did... other than helping unload, buying cleaning supplies, moving furniture around, setting up computers... talking to people... gee... guess I did more than I thought. Anyways, then I got home, tired, achey, and slightly frustrated, and there was a letter from Leatherwood! This made my day. And then I played Alpha Centauri for a few hours.
