Ever heard of Pythagorean vegetarianism? Yeah, I hadn't either until today. When poring through The Jews Under Roman Rule: From Pompey to Diocletian seeking substantiation for the view that the Edict of Claudius was far reaching and crucial in shaping the Roman Christian community (it most likely wasn't), it seemed like a good explanation of who the vegetable only eaters in Romans 14:1-4 were... Well, at least until I looked into it... *sighs* Anybody want a wild goose?
